Welcome to the blog of the Goodenough College Wine Society. Goodenough College, located on Mecklenburgh Square in Bloomsbury, in the heart of London’s university district, is the city’s leading residence for international postgraduate students. The Wine Society is the College’s largest club, and one of its most active. We organise regular wine tastings as well as other wine-related events such as excursions and an annual Champagne Night.
This blog will be used to:
1. Keep a record of the names of, and our opinion of, the wines sampled at our tastings.
2. Provide information about how to purchase types of wine that are not easily obtainable in the UK.
3. Provide tips, suggestions and recommendations on what to do at a wine tasting, or on how to run an excellent wine tasting.
4. Provide other wine-related information.
The main audience is our members; if our posts are of wider interest, however, then so much the better. Comments and discussion, by members and non-members alike, are welcome. Stay tuned…
